this is 3/4ths of Upper Darby High Schools French horn section. I am a freshman and there are 2 seniors and a teacher in our section. upper Darby school district is trying to cut some of our programs..
if these cuts are made… I’m not only going to lose my two seniors but ill lose my favorite teacher/person. I will lose my whole section. the people who taught me pretty much all I know on horn.
mr hunter is such and amazing person and an even better teacher. he has influenced me so much and i look up to him in a way that a daughter looks up to her father.
taking away mr hunter is like ripping away a piece of my heart… you can’t do that. I’ve only been with him one year… and I really can’t stand the thought of not having him around to help me …. or even be in my section for that matter.
please, I’m begging everyone out there.. everyone who sees this…..
help us save the upper Darby arts.

you know, if they make these cuts in ud, yeah I’m gonna be upset about elementary kids not getting music and good teachers leaving. but what is going to phase me most is mr hunter leaving. (which a lot of you know)
mr hunter is my favorite teacher. he is an AMAZING horn player. and he is just an all around great person. I can be in tears and he can make my day better just by saying hi. im sure everyone student out there has a favorite music teacher that can do that. with these cuts you are going to lose amazing teachers, youre going to take away our favorite people, like mr hunter, mr giest, ms fisher, ms schramm, ms haley, mr Cummings, mr heinbecker, ms hudson, and plenty more. taking these teachers away is like ripping pieces of our heart out. these teachers helped us become who we are. without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. the worst thing you can do is take my (and many others) favorite people. don’t take pieces of our heart away from us.
